Philippine Architecture in its prime

The oldest American structure left standing in the Philippines, Silliman Hall.

Pacific Motors... For all the car buffs out there, these people were responsible for bringing General Motors to the Philippines. The first car they sold was a navy blue 1901 Cadillac Sedanca, bought by "El General" President Emilio Aguinaldo in 1903.

This building is located at Muelle del Banco Nacional (north bank of the Pasig River) about a block away from the MacArthur (Santa Cruz) Bridge. The street you see in the recent photo going to the left leads to Calle Escolta.
